On the site of the former rifle club, which is prominent for Auerbach, an up to six-storey structure is being built for self-determined senior living. 

With views of the adjacent Göltzsch floodplain and the newly designed Hofau Park, the town of three towers will also have a restaurant run by the Diakonie with an adjoining café, a mobile care service on the upper ground floor and a day care center for elderly people in need on the lower ground floor. 

The permeable, semi-open concept reacts to the urban planning concept given by open spaces and thus creates the built transition between the designed park area and the town entrance.
